[Machine] "Abu Rafe' was a slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for Al-Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib. When Al-Abbas embraced Islam, he gifted him to the Prophet ﷺ, and his name was Aslam, and it is also said Ibrahim. He embraced Islam before the Battle of Badr, but he resided in Makkah with Al-Abbas. He died after the assassination of Uthman in the year thirty-five."  

الحاكم:٦٥٣٦حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ قَالَ

«كَانَ أَبُو رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِلْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَ الْعَبَّاسُ وَهَبَهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَكَانَ اسْمُهُ أَسْلَمَ وَيُقَالُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَأَسْلَمَ قَبْلَ بَدْرٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ مُقِيمًا بِمَكَّةَ مَعَ الْعَبَّاسِ وَمَاتَ بَعْدَ قَتْلِ عُثْمَانَ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ»
