انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى الْبَصْرَةِ فَدَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا شَيْخٌ مُسْتَنِدٌ إِلَى أُسْطُوَانَةٍ يُحَدِّثُ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي أَقْوَامٌ يُعْطُونَ الشَّهَادَةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلُوهَا» فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا الشَّيْخُ؟ قَالُوا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ
