'A'isha said, "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left the lavatory, he said, 'Your forgiveness!'"

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلاَءِ قَالَ غُفْرَانَكَ

When the Prophet ﷺ came out of the privy, he used to say: "Grant me Thy forgiveness."

عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ ؓ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ قَالَ غُفْرَانَكَ

"When the Prophet would exit the toilet he would say: 'Ghufranak.'"

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلاَءِ قَالَ غُفْرَانَكَ

"I heard my father say: 'I entered upon 'Aishah, and I heard her say: "When the Messenger of Allah exited the toilet, he would say: Ghufranaka (I seek Your forgiveness).'" (Sahih) Another chain with similar wording.

سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَمِعْتُهَا تَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ قَالَ غُفْرَانَكَ قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ النَّهْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ نَحْوَهُ

"When the Prophet would exit the toilet he would say: 'Ghufranak.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 7)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلَاءِ قَالَ «غُفْرَانَكَ»

[AI] The translation of the passage "كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا الْتَقَى الْخِتَانَانِ اغْتَسَلَ" into English is: "When the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , met with the circumcised, he would perform ablution."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا الْتَقَى الْخِتَانَانِ اغْتَسَلَ

[AI] "When the Prophet ﷺ would come out of the restroom, he would say, 'I seek Your forgiveness.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ قَالَ غُفْرَانَكَ

[AI] The translation of the passage is: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution after leaving the restroom."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلَاءِ تَوَضَّأَ

[AI] The translation of the passage "كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ خَلَّلَ لِحْيَتَهُ بِالْمَاءِ" into English is:

"The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to wet his beard with water when performing ablution."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ خَلَّلَ لِحْيَتَهُ بِالْمَاءِ

Umm Salamah said; When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave the salutation, he stayed for a while. By this people thought that women should return earlier than men. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1040)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ مَكَثَ قَلِيلًا وَكَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ كَيْمَا يَنْفُذُ النِّسَاءُ قَبْلَ الرِّجَالِ

[AI] "I entered upon Aisha and heard her saying, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say 'Your forgiveness' when he came out of the toilet.'"

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَمِعْتُهَا تَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ قَالَ «غُفْرَانَكَ»

[AI] "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walked, he would not look back."

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا مَشَى لَمْ يَلْتَفِتْ»

“Allahumma aj’alhu sayyiban hani’an (O Allah, make it a wholesome rain cloud).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3890)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا رَأَى الْمَطَرَ قَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا هَنِيًّا»

[AI] "I heard my father say, 'I entered upon Aisha and heard her say that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would come out of the restroom, he would say: "I seek your forgiveness."'

سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَمِعْتُهَا تَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلَاءِ قَالَ «غُفْرَانَكَ»

“And I too, and I too”. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 526)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ «وَأَنَا وَأَنَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sit for a little while after saying the salaam.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا سَلَّمَ مَكَثَ قَلِيلًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never emerged from the lavatory without saying, "I seek your forgiveness."

مَا خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ إِلَّا قَالَ «غُفْرَانَكَ»

" كَانَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الغَائِط قَالَ: غُفْرَانَكَ".
