The three sons of Nūḥ: Sām, Ḥām, and Yāfith

that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Nūḥ had three children: Sām (Sam), Ḥām (Ham), and Yāfith (Japeth) the father of Romans."  

This ḥadīth has a ṣaḥīḥ chain but they (Bukhārī and Muslim) did not collect it.
الحاكم:٤٠٠٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا عَيَّاشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الرَّقَّامُ ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «وَلَدُ نُوحٍ ثَلَاثَةٌ سَامُ وَحَامُ وَيَافِثُ أَبُو الرُّومِ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
