Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: The son of Adam causes Me pain as he says: Woe be upon the Time. None of you should say this: Woe be upon the Time, as I am the Time (because) I alternate the day and the night, and when I wish I can finish them up. (Using translation from Muslim 2246c)

الحاكم:٣٦٩٢ – أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ يُؤْذِينِي ابْنُ آدَمَ يَقُولُ يَا خَيْبَةَ الدَّهْرِ فَلَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ يَا خَيْبَةَ الدَّهْرِ فَإِنِّي أَنَا الدَّهْرُ أُقَلِّبُ لَيْلَهُ وَنَهَارَهُ فَإِذَا شِئْتُ قَبَضْتُهُمَا

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ هَكَذَا» على شرط البخاري ومسلم

[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The son of Adam should not say, 'I am defeated by time.' Indeed, I am time. I alternate the night and the day. So, if I will, I seize them both."

أحمد:٨٢٣٢ –

"قَال الله -تعَالى-: يُؤذينِى ابن آدم، يقول: يا خيبة الدهر، فلا يَقولنَّ أحدُكم: يا خيبة الدهر، فإِنى أنا الدَّهر أقلِّبُ ليلهُ ونهارهُ، فَإِذا شِئْت؛ قَبضتُهمَا".
