I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a khutbah during the Farewell Hajj, and he said: "Be mindful of Allah, your Lord, pray your five prayers, fast your month, give the zakah of your wealth, and obey those in authority over you; you will enter the Paradise of your Lord."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، فَقَالَ: «اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ، وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ، وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ، وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ، وَأَطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ، تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ».

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , giving a sermon to the people during the Farewell Pilgrimage. He was sitting on a camel, resting his foot in the stirrup of the saddle, and he was addressing the people. He said, "Do you not hear?" A man from the back of the crowd said, "What are you saying?" He replied, "Worship your Lord, perform your five daily prayers, fast in the month of Ramadan, give Zakat from your wealth, and obey your leaders so that you may enter the paradise of your Lord." I asked him, "For how long have you been hearing this hadith, O Abu Umamah?" He answered, "And I am thirty years old."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْجَدْعَاءِ وَاضِعٌ رِجْلَهُ فِي غَرْزِ الرَّحْلِ يَتَطَاوَلُ يَقُولُ أَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ؟ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ آخِرِ الْقَوْمِ مَا تَقُولُ؟ قَالَ اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ قُلْتُ لَهُ فَمُذْ كَمْ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ؟ قَالَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , that day, sitting with his legs in the trench, stretching his neck to be able to hear people. He said in a loud voice, "Don't you hear?" A man from the people said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you command us?" He said, "Worship your Lord, pray your five daily prayers, fast during your month, and obey those in authority over you. By doing so, you will enter the paradise of your Lord." I said, "O Abu Umaamah, what were you like that day?" He said, "I was thirty years old at that time, wrestling with the camel, pushing it forward towards the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَى الْجَدْعَاءِ وَاضِعٌ رِجْلَيْهِ فِي الْغَرْزِ يَتَطَاوَلُ يُسْمِعُ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ أَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ؟ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ طَوَائِفِ النَّاسِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَاذَا تَعْهَدُ إِلَيْنَا؟ قَالَ اعْبَدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ مِثْلُ مَنْ أَنْتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ؟ قَالَ أَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ ابْنُ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً أُزَاحِمُ الْبَعِيرَ أُزَحْزِحُهُ قَدَمًا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on the Day of Arafah: "Worship your Lord, perform your five daily prayers, fast during your month (Ramadan), give your wealth in charity, and obey those in charge of you, and you will enter the Paradise of your Lord."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ «اعْبُدُوا رَبُّكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرِكُمْ وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ»

[AI] I heard Abu Umamah say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us during the Farewell Pilgrimage on his young camel. He had placed his feet in the stirrups to make himself taller and said, "Can you hear me?" A man from the masses asked, "What obligations do you have for us?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Worship your Lord, establish prayer, observe fasting in Ramadan, pay Zakat on your wealth, and obey your leaders, then you will enter the Paradise of your Lord." I asked Abu Umamah, "Who were you at that time?" He replied, "I, my nephew, was thirty years old. I was pushing my camel closer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يَقُولُ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِينَا فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ الْجَدْعَاءِ قَدْ جَعَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ فِي غَرْزَيِ الرِّكَابِ يَتَطَاوَلُ يُسْمِعُ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ «أَلَا تَسْمَعُ صَوْتِي؟» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ طَوَائِفِ النَّاسِ فَمَاذَا تَعْهَدُ إِلَيْنَا؟ فَقَالَ «اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ» قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ فَمِثْلُ مَنْ أَنْتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ؟ قَالَ «أَنَا يَا ابْنَ أَخِي يَوْمَئِذٍ ابْنُ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً أُزَاحِمُ الْبَعِيرَ أُدَحْرِجُهُ قُرْبًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ delivering his sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage while riding his young camel, and he was fastening the reins of the saddle. He said, "O people!" A man at the back said, "What do you say? What do you want?" He said, "Do you not hear? Obey your Lord, perform your five daily prayers, pay your Zakat, and obey your leaders. You will enter the Paradise of your Lord." Then I asked my father Umaymah ibn Al-Khamm, "How old were you when you heard this?" He said, "I heard it when I was thirty years old."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَخَطَبَنَا فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ الْجَدْعَاءِ وَتَطَاوَلَ فِي غَرْزِ الرَّحْلِ فَقَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ فِي آخِرِ النَّاسِ مَا تَقُولُ أَوْ مَا تُرِيدُ؟ فَقَالَ «أَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ أَطِيعُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا أُمَرَائَكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جُنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ» فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي أُمَامَةَ ابْنَ كَمْ كُنْتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ حِينَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا؟ قَالَ « سَمِعْتُ وَأَنَا ابْنُ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "O people, there will be no prophet after me and no nation after you. So worship your Lord, pray your five daily prayers, fast in your month, give the zakaah of your wealth willingly for the sake of purifying your souls, and obey the rulers of your affairs, and you will enter the Paradise of your Lord."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَلَا أُمَّةَ بَعْدَكُمْ أَلَا فَاعْبُدوا رَبُّكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالَكُمْ طَيْبَةً بِهَا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا وُلَاةَ أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying in his farewell sermon, "O people, there will be no prophet after me, and no nation after you. Worship your Lord, perform your five daily prayers, observe fasting in your month, and obey the rulers of your affairs. You will enter the Paradise of your Lord."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَلَا أُمَّةَ بَعْدَكُمْ وَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا وُلَاةَ أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'There is no prophet after me, and no nation after you. Worship your Lord, fast during your month, perform your five prayers, and give your wealth as zakat so that you may enter the paradise of your Lord.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَلَا أُمَّةَ بَعْدَكُمِ اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ طَيِّبَةً بِهَا أَنْفُسُكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Farewell Pilgrimage, on the back of his camel, extending his legs towards the stirrups to make his voice reach the people. He said, "Do you not hear?!" He raised his voice. Then someone from the different groups of people said, "What are you recommending us?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Worship your Lord, establish the five daily prayers, fast during the month of Ramadan, give your wealth as Zakah, and obey those in authority over you so that you may enter the Paradise of your Lord." Abu Yahya said, "I asked Abu Umamah, 'Who was that person at that time?' He said, 'He was a man of thirty years old, pushing through the crowd until he reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .'

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ عَلَى الْجَدْعَاءِ قَدْ جَعَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ فِي غَرْزِ الرِّكَابِ يَتَطَاوَلُ لَيُسْمِعَ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ «أَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ؟» يُطَوِّلُ صَوْتَهُ فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ مِنْ طَوَائِفِ النَّاسِ مَا تَعْهَدُ إِلَيْنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ» قَالَ أَبُو يَحْيَى فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ مِثْلُ مَنْ أَنْتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ؟ قَالَ «ابْنُ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً أُزَاحِمُ الْعِيرَ حَتَّى إِنِّي أَزْحُمُهُ قَدَمًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood amongst the people during the Farewell Pilgrimage and said, "There is no prophet after me, and no nation after you, so worship your Lord, establish your five prayers, fast your month, and obey the rulers of your affairs. You will enter the Paradise of your Lord."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَامَ فِي النَّاسِ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَقَالَ «لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَلَا أُمَّةَ بَعْدَكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا خَمْسَكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا وُلَاةَ أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ»

"اتقوا الله وصلُّوا خَمْسَكُم، وصوموا شهرَكم، وأَدَّوا زكاةَ أموالكم، وأطيعوا ذا أمرِكم تدخلوا جنة ربكم".

"اعْبُدُوا ربَّكم، وصَلُّوا خمْسَكم، وصُومُوا شهْرَكُمْ وأدُّوا زكاةَ أمْوالِكم، وأَطِيعُوا ذا أَمْرِكُم، تَدْخُلوا جنَّةَ ربِّكُمْ".

"اعْبدُوا ربَّكم، وصَلُّوا خْمَسكم، وصُوموا شَهْرَكُم، وحُجُّوا بيتكُمْ، وادخلُوا جنَّةَ ربِّكُمْ".

"أَلَا تَسْمَعُون؟ اعْبُدُوا ربَّكُمْ، وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ، وَصومُوا شَهْرَكُم وَأدُّوا زَكَاةَ أمَوَالكُمْ، وأطِيعُوا إِذا أُمِرْتُمْ تَدْخُلوُا جنَّةَ ربّكُمْ".

"أَلَا لَعَلَّكُمْ لا تَرَوْنِى بعد عَامِكُمْ هذا، اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكمْ، وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ، وصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ، وحُجُّوا بَيْتَكُمْ، وَأَدُّوا زَكاةَ أمْوَالكُمْ طَيِّبَةً بَهَا أنْفسُكُمْ، وَأَطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلوا جَنَّةَ رَبكُّمْ".

"أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَلَا تَسْمَعُون؟ أَطيعُوا رَبَّكُمْ، وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ، وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ، وَأَطِيعوا أُمَراءَكمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ".

"لا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي، وَلا أُمَّةَ بَعْدَكُمْ، فَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ، وَأَقِيمُوا خَمْسَكُمْ، وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ، وأطِيعُوا وُلاةَ أَمْرِكُمْ، ثُمَّ ادْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ".

"يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ! إنَّهُ لا نَبِىَّ بَعْدِى، وَلا أُمَّةَ بَعْدَكمْ، أَلاَ فَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ، وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ، وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكمْ، وَصلُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ، وَأَدُّوا زَكاةَ أَمْوَالكُمْ طَيِّبَةَ بِهَا أَنْفُسُكُمْ، وَأَطِيعُوا وُلاةَ أَمْرِكمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبَّكمْ".

"عَنْ أبِى أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ: قام رسُولُ الله ﷺ في حَجة الَودَاع وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ الْجَدْعَاء فَأدْخَلَ رِجْلَيْه في غِرزِى الرِّكَابِ يَتطَاوَلُ لَيُسْمعَ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ: ألَا تَسْمَعُونَ! وَطَّولَ صَوْتَهُ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ طَوائفِ النَّاسِ: بِمَاذَا تَعْهَدُ إِلَيْنَا؟ قَالَ: اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُم، وَصَلُّوا خمْسَكُم، وَصُومُوا شهرَكُم، وَأدُّوا زَكَاةَ أمْوالِكُم، وأطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ، تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ ربِّكُم. قيلَ: يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ! مِثْلُ مَنْ أنْتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ؟ قَالَ: أَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ ابنُ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً أُزَاحِمُ البَعِيرَ حَتَّى إِنَّ أزحزحه قربا إِلَى رَسُولِ الله ﷺ ".

"عَنْ أبِي أُمَامَةَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ في خطبَتِهِ يَوْمَ حجَّةِ الْوَدَاع: أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّهُ لَا نَبِىَّ بَعْدِى، وَلَا أُمَّةَ بَعْدَكُم، أَلَا فَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ، وَصَلُّوا خَمسكُمْ وَصُومُوا شَهرَكُم، وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَموَالِكُم، طيِّبة بِهَا أَنْفُسكُم، وَأَطِيعُوا ولَاةَ أَمْرِكُم تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ ربَّكُمْ".

"عَنْ أَبِى أمَامَةَ قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ في حجَّةِ الْوَدَاع وَأنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ ابن ثَلَاثِيْن سَنَةً، فَسَمِعْتهُ يَقُولُ: أيُّهَا النَّاسُ اسْمَعُوا قَوْلِى فَعَسَيْتُمْ أن لَا تَرونِى بَعْدَ عَامِكُم هَذَا؟ فَعَجلَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ: مَاذَا نَصْنَعُ يَا رَسُولَ الله؟ قَالَ: تُطِيعُونَ رَبكُم، وَتُصَلُّون خَمسكُمْ، وَتَصُومُونَ شَهرَكُم، وَتُؤدُّونَ زَكَاةَ أمْوَالِكُم، وَتَحُجُّونَ بَيْتَ رَبكُمْ، وتُطِيعُونَ ذَا أَمركُم، تَدْخُلُونَ جَنَّة رَبكُمْ".
