14. Book of Supplications (Duʿāʾ), and Rememberence and Glorification of Allah
١٤۔ كِتَابُ الدُّعَاءِ، وَالتَّكْبِيرِ، وَالتَّهْلِيلِ، وَالتَّسْبِيحِ وَالذِّكْرِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say at the end of a lengthy gathering: "Glory be to You, O Allah, and Praise be to You. I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You." Some of us said, "O Messenger of Allah, we have never heard you say this before." He said, "This is a expiation for anything that occurs in the gathering."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِآخِرِهِ إِذَا طَالَ الْمَجْلِسُ قَالَ «سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ» فَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذَا الْقَوْلَ مَا كُنَّا نَسْمَعُهُ مِنْكَ قَالَ «هَذَا كَفَّارَةُ مَا يَكُونُ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ»
