[Machine] "Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: 'Indeed, this late-night vigil (Tahajjud prayer) is effort and a burden. So, if any of you wants to perform it, let him offer two Rak'ahs (units of prayer) after Witr. And if anyone among you does not perform it, these two Rak'ahs will be for him also.' And it is also said: 'This is the night journey (Isra') and I say, it is the vigil.'"  

الدارمي:١٦٣٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْوَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا السَّهَرَ جَهْدٌ وَثِقَلٌ فَإِذَا أَوْتَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِنْ قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَإِلَّا كَانَتَا لَهُ» وَيُقَالُ هَذَا السَّفَرُ وَأَنَا أَقُولُ السَّهَرُ
