If I had not heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "You should not long for death," I would have longed (for it).
أَنَسٌ ؓ لَوْلاَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ تَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ لَتَمَنَّيْتُ
