37.16 What is paid for Ruqya
٣٧۔١٦ باب مَا يُعْطَى فِي الرُّقْيَةِ عَلَى أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ
[Machine] Ibn Abbas narrated from the Prophet ﷺ : "The most deserving of what you have taken payment for is the Book of Allah." Ash-Shabi said, "The teacher does not require anything except that he be given something, so he should accept it." Al-Hakam said, "I have not heard anyone dislike the payment of a teacher." Al-Hasan gave ten dirhams. Ibn Sireen did not see any harm in paying the qasam (a certain type of teacher). It was said that corruption and bribery were present in judgment, and they used to be given gifts in exchange for their rulings. They would be given bribes for their judgments.
وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: «أَحَقُّ مَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا كِتَابُ اللَّهِ». وَقَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ لاَ يَشْتَرِطُ الْمُعَلِّمُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يُعْطَى شَيْئًا فَلْيَقْبَلْهُ وَقَالَ الْحَكَمُ لَمْ أَسْمَعْ أَحَدًا كَرِهَ أَجْرَ الْمُعَلِّمِ. وَأَعْطَى الْحَسَنُ دَرَاهِمَ عَشَرَةً. وَلَمْ يَرَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ بِأَجْرِ الْقَسَّامِ بَأْسًا. وَقَالَ كَانَ يُقَالُ السُّحْتُ الرِّشْوَةُ فِي الْحُكْمِ. وَكَانُوا يُعْطَوْنَ عَلَى الْخَرْصِ.
