Umm Sulaym took me by the hand and brought me to the Prophet's ﷺ presence in Madinah. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is my son and he is a young scribe." He said, "So, I served him for nine years and he never said to me about anything I did that it was bad, or poorly done."
That Umm Sulaym took him (Anas) by the hand to the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is my son Anas, and he is a young boy who can write." Anas said, "I served him for nine years, and he never ˹rebuked˺ me about something I did, ˹by saying˺ 'Why did you do that?' or, 'You did that poorly.'"
[Machine] I served the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for nine years, and he never said to me for anything I did: Why did you do it? Nor did he say to me for anything I did: You did it wrong or it was bad what you did.
