[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you prays, let him place something in front of his face. If he cannot find anything, then let him set up a stick. If he doesn't have a stick, then let him draw a line, and thus what passes in front of him will not harm him. And likewise..."  

البيهقي:٣٤٦٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ (ح) وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَدَّهُ حُرَيْثًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلْ تِلْقَاءَ وَجْهِهِ شَيْئًا فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلْيَنْصِبْ عَصًا فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مَعَهُ عَصًا فَلْيَخْطُطْ خَطًّا ثُمَّ لَا يَضُرُّهُ مَا مَرَّ أَمَامَهُ وَكَذَلِكَ

“When anyone of you performs prayer, let him put something in front of him. If he cannot find anything then let him put a stick. If he cannot find one, then let him draw a line. Then it will not matter if anything passes in front of him.”

suyuti:2081a –

السيوطي:٢٠٨١a –

"إذَا صلّى إحَدُكُمْ فَليَجعَلْ تِلقاءَ وجهِه شيئًا فإِن لمْ يجدْ شيئًا فلْينصبْ عصًا فإِن لمْ يَكنْ معَه عصًا فليَخططْ بين يديه خطًّا، ثم لا يضرهُّ ما مَرَّ أمامَهُ" .
