[Machine] to his companions, "Shall I not show you how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray?" He then stood up and performed the prayer. He then raised his head and stood straight for a while, then he prostrated. He then raised his head and waited for a moment, then he prostrated again. Abu Qilaba said, "Our Sheikh, Amr ibn Salama, prayed in this manner." Ayyub said, "Amr used to do something that I do not see people doing. When he raised his head from the last two prostrations in the first and third units, he sat down for a moment and then stood up."
لِأَصْحَابِهِ أَلَا أُرِيكُمْ كَيْفَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَذَلِكَ فِي غَيْرِ حِينَ صَلَاةٍ فَقَامَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَكَبَّرَ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَامَ هُنَيْئَةً ثُمَّ سَجَدَ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ انْتَظَرَ هُنَيْئَةً ثُمَّ سَجَدَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ شَيْخِنَا هَذَا يَعْنِي عَمْرَو بْنَ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ وَكَانَ عَمْرٌو يَصْنَعُ شَيْئًا لَا أَرَى النَّاسَ يَصْنَعُونَهُ كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ آخِرِ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ فِي الْأُولَى وَالثَّالِثَةِ اسْتَوَى قَاعِدًا ثُمَّ يَقُومُ
