[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ rode the horse that was prepared for him from Al-Hafya to Thaniyat Al-Wada', and he rode the horse that was not prepared for him from Thaniyat to Masjid Bani Zuraiq. And Ibn Umar was among those who rode ahead of him, narrating a hadith from Yahya.

bukhari:420 – ʿAbdullāh b. Yūsuf > Mālik > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered for a horse race; the trained horses were to run from a place called Al-Hafya' to Thaniyat Al-Wadaʿ and the horses which were not trained were to run from Al-Thaniya to the Masjid (mosque of) Bani Zuraiq. The sub narrator added: Ibn ʿUmar was one of those who took part in the race.  

البخاري:٤٢٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي أُضْمِرَتْ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ وَأَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةُ الْوَدَاعِ وَسَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي لَمْ تُضْمَرْ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ فِيمَنْ سَابَقَ بِهَا  

muslim:1870a – Yaḥyá b. Yaḥyá al-Tamīmī > Mālik > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a race of the horses which had been especially prepared for the purpose from Hafya' to Thaniyyat al-Wada' (the latter being the winning post), and of those which had not been trained from Thaniyya to the mosque of Banu Zuraiq, and Ibn Umar was among those who took part in this race.  

مسلم:١٨٧٠a – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

nasai:3584 – Muḥammad b. Salamah And al-Ḥārith b. Miskīn > Ibn al-Qāsim > Mālik > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah organized a race for horses that had been made lean, from Al-Hafya' and its finish line was Thaniyyat Al-Wada', and he organized another race for horses that had not been made lean, from Ath-Thaniyyah to the Masjid of Banu Zuraiq, and 'Abdullah was among those who took part in the race.

malik:21-47 – Mālik > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ held a race between horses which had been made lean by training, from al-Hafya to Thaniyatu-lWada. He held a race between horses which had not been made lean from the Thaniya (a mountain pass near Madina) to the mosque of the Banu Zurayq. Abdullah ibn Umar was among those who raced them .  

مالك:٢١-٤٧ – وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَابِقُ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الْمُضَمَّرَةِ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ إِلَى الثَّنِيَّةِ وَالَّتِي لَمْ تُضَمَّرْ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ وَأَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ فِيمَنْ سَابَقَ بِهَا»
