[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no preeminence except in a pair of sandals or a hoof." Muhammad ibn Amr said, "They say or a sword followed by Yazid ibn Harun." It is also mentioned from Abu Abdullah, the master of the Jundabians, from Abu Hurairah with a similar meaning.  

البيهقي:١٩٧٥١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي الدُّمَيْكِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ سَبَلَانُ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ مَوْلَى اللَّيْثِيِّينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا سَبَقَ إِلَّا فِي خُفٍّ أَوْ حَافِرٍ قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُونَ أَوْ نَصْلٍ تَابَعَهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَيُذْكَرُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ مَوْلَى الْجُنْدَعِيِّينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ نَحْوَهُ
