[Machine] We said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are afflicted with bleeding, so what is permissible for us from the dead animals?" He said, "If you do not slaughter it or hunt with it or pass over it [in a state of Ihram], then you are allowed to use it."  

البيهقي:١٩٦٣٧وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ هَارُونَ الزَّاهِدُ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ الْعَتَكِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الْأَسَدِيُّ ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ ؓ قَالَ

قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا تُصِيبُنَا مَخْمَصَةٌ فَمَا يَصْلُحُ لَنَا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ؟ قَالَ إِذَا لَمْ تَصْطَبِحُوا أَوْ تَغْتَبِقُوا أَوْ تَحْتَفِئُوا بِهَا بَقْلًا فَشَأْنُكُمْ بِهَا

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land where we are afflicted with drought, so what is permissible for us regarding dead animals?" He said, "If you do not find halal (slaughtered) meat, and you do not find an animal that has died naturally, and you do not find crops, then you may consume it."  

أحمد:٢١٨٩٨حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ تُصِيبُنَا بِهَا مَخْمَصَةٌ فَمَا يَحِلُّ لَنَا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ؟ قَالَ إِذَا لَمْ تَصْطَبِحُوا وَلَمْ تَغْتَبِقُوا وَلَمْ تَحْتَفِئُوا بَقْلًا فَشَأْنُكُمْ بِهَا

[Machine] On the authority of Abu Waqid al-Laythi, he said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land where there is an epidemic. When will death come to us?" He (the Prophet) said, "When you do not do i'tikaf, and you do not cover yourselves (with protective measures), and you do not pray for your safety, then your affair is in it."  

أحمد:٢١٩٠١حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ

عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ تُصِيبُنَا بِهَا الْمَخْمَصَةُ فَمَتَى تَحِلُّ لَنَا الْمَيْتَةُ؟ قَالَ إِذَا لَمْ تَصْطَبِحُوا وَلَمْ تَغْتَبِقُوا وَلَمْ تَحْتَفِئُوا فَشَأْنُكُمْ بِهَا

[Machine] We said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land where there is makhmasah (a type of lizard). What is permissible for us regarding animals that have died?" He said, "If you do not hunt it, do not find it dead, and do not hide it, then it is permissible for you." The people said, "They say it with a 'ha' (حاء), but he said it with a 'kha' (خاء)."  

الدارمي:٢٠٣٩حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ قَالَ

قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ تَكُونُ بِهَا الْمَخْمَصَةُ فَمَا يَحِلُّ لَنَا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ؟ قَالَ «إِذَا لَمْ تَصْطَبِحُوا وَلَمْ تَغْتَبِقُوا وَلَمْ تَخْتَفِئُوا بَقْلًا فَشَأْنُكُمْ بِهَا» قَالَ النَّاسُ يَقُولُونَ بِالْحَاءِ وَهَذَا قَالَ بِالْخَاءِ

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land with abundant dead animals. What is permissible for us from them?" He said, "If you don't slaughter them, nor find them dead, nor suspect that they were killed, then it is permissible for you."  

الحاكم:٧١٥٦حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثَنَا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ثَنَا حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضِ مَخْمَصَةٍ فَمَا يَحِلُّ لَنَا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ؟ قَالَ «إِذَا لَمْ تَصْطَبِحُوا وَلَمْ تَغْتَبِقُوا وَلَمْ تُحْتِفُوا فَشَأْنُكُمْ بِهَا»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ فيه انقطاع

[Machine] On the authority of Abu Waqid Al-Laythi, they said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land where we suffer from leprosy, so what is permissible for us regarding dead animals?" He said, "If you do not hunt, slaughter, or touch carrion, then it is permissible for you."  

الطبراني:٣٣١٥حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ أَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ مَرْثَدٍ أَوْ أَبِي مَرْثَدٍ

عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ يُصِيبُنَا بِهَا مَخْمَصَةٌ فَمَا يَحِلُّ لَنَا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ؟ قَالَ «إِذَا لَمْ تَغْتَبِقُوا وَلَمْ تَصْطَبِحُوا وَلَمْ تَحْتَفِئُوا بَقْلًا فَشَأْنَكُمْ بِهَا»
