He who put the necklace of jizyah in his neck abandoned the way followed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3081)   

البيهقي:١٨٣٩٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَكَّارِ بْنِ بِلَالٍ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ سُمَيْعٍ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مُعَاذٍ ؓ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ عَقَدَ الْجِزْيَةَ فِي عُنُقِهِ فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِمَّا عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ عَقَدَ الْجِزْيَةَ فِي عُنُقِهِ فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِمَّا عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever pays the jizyah (tax) willingly, then he has been saved from what Muhammad ﷺ brought."  

الطبراني:١٧٣٩٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ أَنَسُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ هِشَامٍ أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطَّرَائِفِيُّ ثنا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ عَقَدَ الْجِزْيَةَ فِي عُنُقِهِ فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدٌ» ﷺ

الطبراني:٢٤٢٢ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ تَوَضَّأَ مِنْ مِطْهَرَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ §فَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ

وَمَا يَمْنَعُنِي وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ
