[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ when a man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a sin, so establish the punishment on me." The Prophet did not ask him about it. Then the prayer was held, so he prayed with the Prophet ﷺ . When the Prophet ﷺ finished the prayer, the man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a sin, so establish the punishment on me according to the Book of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Didn't you pray with us?" He said, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah has forgiven your sin."  

البيهقي:١٧٦٢١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الشَّامَاتِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْكَبِيرِ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ثنا هَمَّامٌ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ قَالَ وَلَمْ يَسْأَلْهُ عَنْهُ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ قَالَ فَصَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَلَمَّا قَضَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الصَّلَاةَ قَامَ إِلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْ عَلَيَّ كِتَابَ اللهِ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ مَعَنَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ غَفَرَ لَكَ ذَنْبَكَ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَاصِمٍ وَرَوَى فِي ذَلِكَ أَيْضًا أَبُو أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

While I was with the Prophet ﷺ a man came and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I have committed a legally punishable sin; please inflict the legal punishment on me'.' The Prophet ﷺ did not ask him what he had done. Then the time for the prayer became due and the man offered prayer along with the Prophet ﷺ , and when the Prophet ﷺ had finished his prayer, the man again got up and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I have committed a legally punishable sin; please inflict the punishment on me according to Allah's Laws." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Haven't you prayed with us?' He said, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has forgiven your sin." or said, "....your legally punishable sin."  

البخاري:٦٨٢٣ – حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ الْكِلاَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ قَالَ

[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a gathering when a man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a sin, so pray for Allah to establish His Book upon me." The Prophet ﷺ then established the prayer with us. After he finished, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left and the man followed him, and I followed him as well. The man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a sin, so pray for Allah to establish His Book upon me." The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Didn't you leave your house, perform ablution, and then join us in prayer?" The man replied, "Yes, I did." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then indeed, Allah has forgiven your sin or offense."  

أحمد:٢٢١٦٣ – حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي مَجْلِسٍ فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْ عَلَيَّ كِتَابَ اللهِ قَالَ فَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ قَالَ فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَتَبِعَهُ الرَّجُلُ وَتَبِعْتُهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْ عَلَيَّ كِتَابَ اللهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَلَيْسَ خَرَجْتَ مِنْ مَنْزِلِكَ تَوَضَّأْتَ فَأَحْسَنْتَ الْوُضُوءَ وَصَلَّيْتَ مَعَنَا؟ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ بَلَى قَالَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ غَفَرَ لَكَ حَدَّكَ أَوْ ذَنْبَكَ
