[Machine] He heard Jabir saying, "I fell ill and the Prophet ﷺ came to visit me with Abu Bakr, walking, while I was unconscious and unable to speak to him. He performed ablution and poured water on me, and I regained consciousness. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with my wealth when I have sisters?' He said, 'The verse of inheritance was revealed: "They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the division of inheritances. Say, ' Allah instructs you about one's relatives.'" (Quran 4:176).' In another narration from Shu'bah narrated from Ibn Al-Munkadir from Jabir in this hadith, he said, 'Only a paternal uncle could inherit me, so he was named as a paternal uncle.' It was mentioned by the scholar and Jabir bin Abdullah, in whom the verse of inheritance was revealed, did not have any children or parents, as his father was killed on the day of Uhud and this verse was revealed after that."

I fell ill, and the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr came to me on foot to visit me. As I was unconscious, I could not speak to him. He performed ablution and sprinkled water on me ; so I became conscious. I said: Messenger of Allah, how should I do in my property, as I have sisters? Thereafter the verse about inheritance was revealed: "They ask thee for legal decision. Say: Allah directs (thus) about those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs." (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2886)
