[Machine] "I saw Abu Hurairah prostrate during the occurrence of the splitting of the sky. So, I asked him and he replied, 'I prostrated in it (the sky) to my beloved, ﷺ , and I will continue to prostrate until I meet him.'"

I saw Abu Huraira performing prostration (while reciting this verse: )" When the heaven burst asunder." I said to him: Do you prostrate yourself (while reciting) i? He said: Yes, I saw my best Friend ﷺ prostrating himself on (the recital of this verse) and I shall continue prostrating till I meet him. Shu'ba asked: Do you mean (by Friend) the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: Yes.

I offered the night prayer behind Abu Hurairah. He recited Surah Inshiqaq ("When the sky is rent asunder") and prostrated himself. I asked him: What is this prostration ? He replied: I prostrated myself on account of this (surah) behind Abu al-Qasim (i.e. the Prophet). I shall continue prostrating on account of this till I meet him.

الدارمي:١٥٠٩أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَسْجُدُ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَقِيلَ لَهُ تَسْجُدُ فِي سُورَةٍ مَا يُسْجَدُ فِيهَا؟ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا»
