[Machine] I went to the Prophet ﷺ and my son was with me, so I showed him to the Prophet ﷺ . Then, he was overwhelmed by the awe of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so I said to him, "O Prophet of Allah, I am a doctor from a family of doctors. Show me your back, and if it is a wound, I will be able to treat it. And if it is something else, I will inform you, for there is no one more knowledgeable than me about wounds or abscesses." He said, "Its doctor is Allah, and it has two green sacs on it. It has a strand of white hair that has turned grey, and his other hairs are red." Then he said, "Is this your son?" I said, "Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah." He said, "Is he your only child?" I said, "I bear witness to that." He said, "Then, he will not harm you, and you will not harm him."

I set out with my father when I was a young boy, and we came across a man from al-Hajirah sitting in the shade of his house. He had two green saddlebags, abundant hair, and a reddish mark of henna on his head. My father asked me, "Do you know who this is?" I replied, "No." He said, "This is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." He then spoke to him at length. My father said to him, "I am a practitioner of medicine. Show me what is on the inside of your shoulder. If it is merchandise, I will cut it, and if it is something else, I will inform you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at me and asked, "Is this your son?" My father replied, "I bear witness to it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to my father, "Look at what he is saying." My father replied, "Yes, by the Lord of the Kaaba." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then laughed at the resemblance I had to my father and his oath regarding me. He said, "O man, neither hold me accountable for him nor let him be accountable for me."

[Machine] I arrived in the city and had not seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He came out wearing two green garments, so I said to my son, "By Allah, this is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." My son started trembling out of awe for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a doctor and my father was a doctor, and we are a family of physicians. By Allah, nothing is hidden from us in the human body, not a vein or a bone. Show me what is on your shoulder, for if it is a disease, I will remove it and treat it." He said, "Its doctor is Allah." Then he asked, "Who is this person with you?" I said, "My son, by the Lord of the Ka'bah." He said, "Your son?" I said, "My son testifies to it." He said, "Your son will not harm you, nor will you harm him."

I went to the Prophet peace be upon him, and with me was my son. I said to my son, when I saw him, "This is the Prophet of Allah." Then he (my son) had a seizure. So I said to the Prophet ﷺ, "O Prophet of Allah, I am a physician and my father was a physician from a family of physicians. Show me your back, if there is a lump on it, I will treat it, and if it is something else, I will inform you. For there is no one more knowledgeable than me regarding injuries and wounds." He said, "There is no physician except Allah, and upon him are two green bandages, and he has hair that has turned gray, and his beard is red." Then he said, "Is this your son?" I said, "Yes, I swear by the Lord of the Kāba." He said, "Is it from yourself?" I said, "I testify to it." He said, "Indeed, it does not harm you nor does it harm him."
