"There is no right for the son of Adam in other than these things: A house which he lives in, a garment which covers his nakedness, and Jilf (a piece of bread) and water."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَيْسَ لاِبْنِ آدَمَ حَقٌّ فِي سِوَى هَذِهِ الْخِصَالِ بَيْتٌ يَسْكُنُهُ وَثَوْبٌ يُوَارِي عَوْرَتَهُ وَجِلْفُ الْخُبْزِ وَالْمَاءِ

"There is no right for the son of Adam in other than these things: A house which he lives in, a garment which covers his nakedness, and Jilf (a piece of bread) and water." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2341)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ حَقٌّ فِيمَا سِوَى هَذِهِ الْخِصَالِ بَيْتٌ يَسْتُرُهُ وَثَوْبٌ يُوَارِي عَوْرَتَهُ وَجِلْفٌ مِنَ الْخُبْزِ وَالْمَاءِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Everything has a surplus, except for the shade of a house, the edge of bread, and a garment that covers a man's private parts, or he said, the private parts of Ibn Adam (human being). And everything has a surplus, except for the one that Ibn Adam does not have a right to."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَضُلَ عَنْ ظِلِّ بَيْتٍ وَجُرْفِ الْخُبْزِ وَثَوْبٍ يُوَارِي عَوْرَةَ الرَّجُلِ أَوْ قَالَ عَوْرَةَ ابْنِ آدَمَ وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَضُلَ عَنْ ذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيهِ حَقٌّ

ʿEverything apart from the shade of a house, a sack of bread, a garment to cover his ʿawrah and water, anything more than that the son of Adam has no right to.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 440)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كُلُّ شَيْءٍ سِوَى ظِلِّ بَيْتٍ وَجِلْفِ الْخُبْزِ وَثَوْبٍ يُوَارِي عَوْرَتَهُ وَالْمَاءِ فَمَا فَضَلَ عَنْ هَذَا فَلَيْسَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيهِ حَقٌّ»

"كُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَضْلٌ عَنْ ظِلِّ بَيتٍ وَجِلفِ الْخُبْزِ، وَثَوْبٍ يُوَارى عَورَةَ الرَّجُلِ (وَالْمَاء) (*) لَمْ يَكُنْ لا بْن آدَمَ فِيهِ حَقٌّ".

"كُلُّ شَيْءٍ سِوَى حِلفِ (* *) هَذَا الطَّعَامِ، وَالْمَاءِ العَذْبِ، وَبَيت يُظِلُّهُ، فَمَا فَضَلَ عَنْ هَذَا فَلَيسَ لابْن آدَمَ فِيهِ حَقٌّ".

"ليسَ لابنِ آدَمَ حَقٌّ فِيمَا سِوَى هَذِهِ الْخِصَالِ: بَيتٌ يَسْكنه، وثَوْبٌ يوَارِى عَوْرَته وَجِلفُ الْخُبزِ وَالْمَاءِ".
