[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , entered upon me and asked for water to drink. He was given water and he drank, then he handed it to me and I drank. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I was fasting and I disliked returning your cup to you." He said, "Were you fulfilling a need?" I said, "No." He said, "Then there is no harm upon you."  

أحمد:٢٧٣٨٤حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ ابْنِ بِنْتِ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ أَوْ ابْنِ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ قَالَتْ

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاسْتَسْقَى فَسُقِيَ فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِي فَضْلَهُ فَشَرِبْتُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمَا إِنِّي كُنْتُ صَائِمَةً فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَرُدَّ سُؤْرَكَ فَقَالَ أَكُنْتِ تَقْضِينَ شَيْئًا؟ فَقُلْتُ لَا فَقَالَ فَلَا بَأْسَ عَلَيْكِ

[Machine] That the Prophet entered upon her and a vessel was brought to him, and he drank from it. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, I was fasting, but I disliked to interupt your fasting." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it is a make-up fast from Ramadan, then make it up another day. And if it is a voluntary fast, then complete it. And if you wish, you may break it."  

الطبراني:٢١٤٥٦حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ بِنْتِ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَأُتِيَ بِإِنَاءٍ فَشَرِبَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ صَائِمَةً وَلَكِنِّي كَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَرُدَّ سُؤْرَكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنْ كَانَ قَضَاءً مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَاقْضِيهِ يَوْمًا آخَرَ وَإِنْ كَانَ تَطَوُّعًا فَاقْضِيهِ وَإِنْ شِئْتِ فَلَا تَقْضِيِهِ»

I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I was fasting, but I did not want to refuse your cup." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it is a fast from Ramadan, then fast a day in its place. And if it is a voluntary fast, then if you wish, complete it, and if you wish, break it."

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَوْتُ لَهُ بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَ أَوْ قَالَ دَعَا بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِي فَشَرِبْتُ وَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ صَائِمَةً وَلَكِنِّي كَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَرُدَّ سُؤْرَكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَ قَضَاءً مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَصُومِي يَوْمًا مَكَانَهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ تَطَوُّعًا فَإِنْ شِئْتِ فَاقْضِي وَإِنْ شِئْتِ فَلَا تَقْضِي
