[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of sitting on the sidewalks. If any of you sit on the sidewalks, then give it its due. We asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is its due?' He replied, 'Lowering your gaze, returning greetings, enjoining good, and forbidding evil.'"  

أحمد:٢٧١٦٣حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْجُلُوسَ عَلَى الصُّعُدَاتِ فَمَنْ جَلَسَ مِنْكُمْ عَلَى الصَّعِيدِ فَلْيُعْطِهِ حَقَّهُ قَالَ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا حَقُّهُ؟ قَالَ غُضُوضُ الْبَصَرِ وَرَدُّ التَّحِيَّةِ وَأَمْرٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَنَهْيٌ عَنْ مُنْكَرٍ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Beware of sitting on the roads. Perhaps Ma'mar said on elevated platforms." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, we have to meet in our gatherings." He said, "Then fulfill its rights." They asked, "What are its rights?" He said, "Greet each other with peace, lower your gaze, guide the one who asks for directions, order what is good, and forbid what is evil."

الطبراني:١٨٧٨٢حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَ

"إيَّاكُمْ والجُلُوس عَلَى الصُّعُدَاتِ، فَمَنْ جَلَسَ منْكُمْ عَلَى الصَّعِيدِ فَليُعْطِهِ حَقَّهُ، غَضُّ البَصَر، وَرَدُّ التَّحِيّةِ، وَأَمْرٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَنَهْىٌّ عن مُنكرٍ ".
