[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions arrived, weakened by the fever of Yathrib. The polytheists said, "A group is advancing towards you, weakened by fever." Allah then informed the Prophet ﷺ about this. He ordered his companions to throw pebbles while the polytheists sat near the stone, watching them. His companions threw pebbles and walked between the two corners. The polytheists said, "Are these the people you claim are weakened by the fever?" They are stronger than so and so. They uttered these words. Ibn Abbas said, "This did not prevent him from ordering them to continue throwing the pebbles except for keeping them on guard."

When Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions arrived (at Mecca), the pagans said, "There have come to you a group of people who have been weakened by the fever of Yathrib (i.e. Medina)." So the Prophet ﷺ ordered his companions to do Ramal (i.e. fast walking) in the first three rounds of Tawaf around the Kaʿba and to walk in between the two corners (i.e. the black stone and the Yemenite corner). The only cause which prevented the Prophet ﷺ from ordering them to do Ramal in all the rounds of Tawaf, was that he pitied them.

Ibn ‘Abbas said The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ came to Makkah while the fever of Yathrib (Medina) had weakened them. Thereupon the disbelievers said “The people whom the fever has weakened and who suffer misery at Medina are coming to you.” Allaah, the exalted, informed the Prophet ﷺ of what they had said. He, therefore, ordered them to perform ramal (walk proudly with swift pace) in first three circuits and walk ordinarily between the two corners (Yamani Corner and the Black Stone). When they saw them the believers walking proudly, they said” These are the people about whom you mentioned that the fever had weakened them, but they are more vigorous than us.” Ibn ‘Abbas said “He did not order them to walk proudly in all circuits (of the circumambulation) out of mercy upon them.”

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and his companions arrived in Mecca while they were weakened by the fever of Yathrib. The idolaters said, "Indeed, a group has come upon you, weakened by the fever of Yathrib, and they have brought harm from it." So the idolaters sat on the side nearest Al-Hijr and Allah informed His Prophet of what they said. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , commanded them to pelt the three rounds (of the Jamrat) so that the idolaters could see their flayed flesh. So they pelted the three rounds and then he commanded them to walk between the Ruknayn (the two corners of the Kaaba) where the idolaters could not see them. Ibn Abbas said, "The Prophet, ﷺ , did not prevent them from stoning all of the rounds except for leaving them on the last one." So the idolaters said, "Are these the ones you claim to be weakened by fever? These are better off than such and such."

So they sat down for them beside the stones. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered them to stone the three (pillars) and to walk between the two corners. He did not prevent them from stoning the entire rounds except that he instructed them to retain one (round). Abu Muslim did not mention the fever of Yathrib.
