[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "O Allah, with Your help I dodge, with Your help I attack, and with Your help I fight."  

أحمد:٢٣٩٢٨ – حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا لَقِيَ الْعَدُوَّ اللهُمَّ بِكَ أَحُولُ وَبِكَ أَصُولُ وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went on an expedition, he said: O Allah, Thou art my aider and helper; by Thee I move, by Thee I attack, and by Thee I fight.  

أبو داود:٢٦٣٢ – حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا غَزَا قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُدِي وَنَصِيرِي بِكَ أَحُولُ وَبِكَ أَصُولُ وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ  

ahmad:691 – Abū al-Naḍr Hāshim b. al-Qāsim

When the Prophet ﷺ wanted to travel he would say: ʿBy Your help, O Allah, I move about and by Your help I travel and by Your help I walk.”  

أحمد:٦٩١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَّامٍ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ حُكَيْمِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَبِي تِحْيَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ سَفَرًا قَالَ اللهُمَّ بِكَ أَصُولُ وَبِكَ أَحُولُ وَبِكَ أَسِيرُ  

ahmad:1296 – ʿAbdullāh > Naṣr b. ʿAlī al-Azdī from my father > Abū Salām ʿAbd al-Malik b. Muslim b. Salām > ʿImrān b. Ẓabyān > Ḥukaym b. Saʿd > ʿAlī

“O Allah, by Your power I charge at the enemy, by Your power I ward off the plot of the enemy and by Your power I march to the enemy.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ سَفَرًا قَالَ اللهُمَّ بِكَ أَصُولُ وَبِكَ أَحُولُ وَبِكَ أَسِيرُ  

darimi:2485 – Ḥajjāj b. Minhāl > Ḥammād > Thābit > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylá > Ṣuhayb

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to make supplication during the days of Hunayn: "O Allah, with You I seek to achieve, with You I seek to be successful, and with You I fight."  

الدارمي:٢٤٨٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ
