[Machine] "So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about that, and he said, 'O Abu Rafi', charity is forbidden for Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. The leader of a people should provide for them from his own self.'"

أحمد:٢٣٨٦٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ مَرَّ عَلَيَّ الْأَرْقَمُ الزُّهْرِيُّ أَوْ ابْنُ أَبِي الْأَرْقَمِ وَاسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَى الصَّدَقَاتِ قَالَ فَاسْتَتْبَعَنِي قَالَ

فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ حَرَامٌ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ إِنَّ مَوْلَى الْقَوْمِ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used Arqam ibn Abi al-Arqam al-Zuhri as a guard. Abu Rafi followed him and came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him. He said: "O Abu Rafi, charity is forbidden for Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and the leaders of the people must depend on their own selves."

الطبراني:١٢٠٥٩ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

اسْتَعْمَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَرْقَمَ بْنَ أَبِي الْأَرْقَمِ الزُّهْرِيَّ عَلَى السِّعَايَةِ فاستتبعَ أَبَا رَافِعٍ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ حَرَامٌ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَإِنَّ مَوْلَى الْقَوْمِ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ»
