[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to ask about a funeral when he was invited to it. If it was praised, he would stand and pray for it. And if it was not praised, he would say to its people, "What is your issue with it?" and he would not pray for it.  

أحمد:٢٢٥٥٥حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ لِجِنَازَةٍ سَأَلَ عَنْهَا فَإِنْ أُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا خَيْرٌ قَامَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا وَإِنْ أُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا غَيْرُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ لِأَهْلِهَا شَأْنُكُمْ بِهَا وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهَا

[Machine] The Prophet, peace be upon him, used to ask about a funeral when he was invited to it. If he praised the deceased, he would pray for them. If he did not praise them, he would say to their family, "What is your opinion of this person?" And he would not pray for them.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ إِلَى جِنَازَةٍ سَأَلَ عَنْهَا فَإِنْ أُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا خَيْرًا صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا وَإِنْ أُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ لِأَهْلِهَا «شَأْنَكُمْ بِهَا» وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهَا  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»

[Machine] "From his father, the Messenger of Allahﷺ used to inquire about the deceased when invited to a funeral. If praised for their goodness, he would stand and pray for them. However, if condemned, he would say to their family, 'What is your concern with them?' and he would not offer prayers for them."
