[Machine] "He was indeed a good young man. Abu Dharr met him and said, 'O Brother, ask forgiveness for me.' He replied, 'You are the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and you are most deserving to ask forgiveness for me.' Abu Dharr said, 'I heard Umar ibn al-Khattab saying, 'He was indeed a good young man, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Verily, Allah struck with truth both on the tongue and in the heart of Umar.' Abdul Rahman bin Awf said on the tongue of Umar."  

أحمد:٢١٢٩٥حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَعَفَّانُ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ بُرْدٍ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا بُرْدٌ أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نُسَيٍّ عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ

نِعْمَ الْفَتَى غُضَيْفٌ فَلَقِيَهُ أَبُو ذَرٍّ فَقَالَ أَيْ أُخَيَّ اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي قَالَ أَنْتَ صَاحِبُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنْتَ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَسْتَغْفِرَ لِي فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ نِعْمَ الْفَتَى غُضَيْفٌ وَقَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ ضَرَبَ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى لِسَانِ عُمَرَ وَقَلْبِهِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ عَلَى لِسَانِ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ بِهِ

[Machine] The good boy followed me and a man who was with him said, "O son of my brother, pray to Allah for me with goodness." I said, "And who are you? May Allah bless you." He said, "I am Abu Dhar, a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." So I said, "May Allah forgive you, you are more deserving of praying for me than I am for you." He said, "O son of my brother, I heard Umar ibn Al-Khattab say, when I passed by him, 'Indeed, the good boy.' And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Verily, Allah placed the truth on the tongue of Umar.'"  

أحمد:٢١٤٥٧حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَيْلَةَ قَالَ مَرَرْتُ بِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ

نِعْمَ الْغُلَامُ فَاتَّبَعَنِي رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي ادْعُ اللهَ لِي بِخَيْرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَمَنْ أَنْتَ رَحِمَكَ اللهُ؟ قَالَ أَنَا أَبُو ذَرٍّ صَاحِبُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ غَفَرَ اللهُ لَكَ أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَدْعُوَ لِي مِنِّي لَكَ قَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ حِينَ مَرَرْتُ بِهِ آنِفًا يَقُولُنِعْمَ الْغُلَامُ وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ وَضَعَ الْحَقَّ عَلَى لِسَانِ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ بِهِ

[Machine] "O Abu Dharr, I seek forgiveness for you while you are the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Abu Dharr said, "Seek forgiveness for me or inform me [of what you mean]." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, you passed by Umar and he said, 'What a brave man!' and indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Verily, Allah has put the truth on the tongue and in the heart of Umar.'"  

الحاكم:٤٥٠١حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ ثنا عَبْدَانُ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ ثنا هَارُونُ بنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْغَازِ وَابْنِ عَجْلَانَ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ مَرَّ فَتًى عَلَى عُمَرَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ نِعْمَ الْفَتَى قَالَ فَتَبِعَهُ أَبُو ذَرٍّ فَقَالَ يَا فَتًى اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي فَقَالَ

يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ أَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ وَأَنْتَ صَاحِبُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ‍‍ قَالَ اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي قَالَ لَا أَوْ تُخْبِرُنِي فَقَالَ إِنَّكَ مَرَرْتَ عَلَى عُمَرَ فَقَالَ نِعْمَ الْفَتَى وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَ الْحَقَّ عَلَى لِسَانِ عُمَرَ وَقَلْبِهِ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ على شرط مسلم
