"We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hunain and it rained. The caller of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out, telling us: 'Pray where you are."'

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِحُنَيْنٍ فَأَصَابَنَا مَطَرٌ فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ

“I went out on a rainy night (for congregational prayer), and when I came back I asked for the door to be opened. My father said: ‘Who is this?’ I said: ‘Abu Malih.’ He said: ‘We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Hudaybiyah and it rained a little, such that the soles of our sandals did not get wet. The announcer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out: ‘Perform your prayer at your camps.’”

خَرَجْتُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مَطِيرَةٍ فَلَمَّا رَجَعْتُ اسْتَفْتَحْتُ فَقَالَ أَبِي مَنْ هَذَا قَالَ أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَصَابَتْنَا سَمَاءٌ لَمْ تَبُلَّ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ

[AI] I performed the last night's evening prayer in Basra and then it rained. After that, I came to seek permission (from the Prophet) and my father, Osama, said to me, "I saw us with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , during the Battle of Hudaybiyah. It rained and the sky did not soak our sandals, then the announcer of the Prophet, ﷺ , called out that we should pray in our positions."

صَلَّيْتُ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ بِالْبَصْرَةِ وَمُطِرْنَا ثُمَّ جِئْتُ أَسْتَفْتِحُ قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي أَبي أُسَامَةُ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ مُطِرْنَا فَلَمْ تَبُلَّ السَّمَاءُ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ

[AI] We were with the Prophet ﷺ in Hudaybiyyah when rain started pouring on us without wetting our feet. So, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Pray in your sandals."

كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فَأَصَابَنَا مَطَرٌ لَمْ يَبُلَّ أَسْفَلَ نِعَالِنَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ

"We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hunain and it rained. The caller of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out, telling us: 'Pray where you are."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 854)

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَصَابَنَا مَطَرٌ لَمْ يَبُلَّ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ «صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ»

[AI] We were hit by a rain in Hunayn, then a caller called out the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Pray while on the mounts."

أَصَابَنَا مَطَرٍ بِحُنَيْنٍ فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ»

[AI] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the time of Hudaybiyah. Suddenly, we were hit by a rain that did not touch the ground beneath our sandals. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded his caller to announce, "Pray in your garments."

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فَأَصَابَنَا سَمَاءٌ لَمْ تَبُلَّ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُنَادِيَهُ «أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ»

[AI] We performed the Isha prayer in Basra and it rained. Then, I came to seek permission (to enter) and my father, Usamah, said to me, "I saw us with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and it rained, but the sky did not wet the soles of our feet." Then, a caller from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out, "Pray in your shoes."

صَلَّيْنَا الْعِشَاءَ بِالْبَصْرَةِ وَمُطِرْنَا ثُمَّ جِئْتُ أَسْتَفْتِحُ فَقَالَ لِي أَبِي أُسَامَةُ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَمُطِرْنَا فَلَمْ تَبُلَّ السَّمَاءُ أَسْفَلَ نِعَالِنَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ»

[AI] I witnessed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the battle of Hunayn, and we were suddenly caught in a heavy rainfall. Then a caller called out on behalf of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Whoever wishes to pray in his place, let him pray."

شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حُنَيْنًا فَأَصَابَنَا بَغْشٌ يَعْنِي مَطَرًا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فِي رَحْلِهِ فَلْيُصَلِّ»

“I went out on a rainy night (for congregational prayer), and when I came back I asked for the door to be opened. خَرَجْتُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ مَطِيرَةٍ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَمَّا رَجَعْتُ اسْتَفْتَحْتُ فَقَالَ لِي أَبِي لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فَأَصَابَنَا سَمَاءٌ لَمْ تَبُلَّ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا فَإِذَا مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ»

[AI] We were struck by rain on the day of Hudaybiyah that did not wet the soles of our shoes. Then the caller of the Prophet ﷺ called out to us to pray in our camel saddles.

أَصَابَنَا يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ مَطَرٌ لَمْ تُبَلَّ أَسَافِلُ نِعَالِنَا فَنَادَى يَعْنِي مُنَادِيَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ

[AI] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a sudden rain shower came upon us. At that moment, the caller of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out, saying, "Whoever wants to pray on their ride should do so."

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَصَابَنَا بُغَيْشٌ مِنْ مَطَرٍ فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ فِي سَفَرٍ مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فِي رَحْلِهِ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

"رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ زَمَنَ الحُدَيْبِيَةِ فَمُطِرْنَا فَلَمْ تَبُلَّ السَّمَاءُ أَسْفَلَ نِعَالِنَا، فَنَادَى مُنَادِى رَسُولِ الله ﷺ أنَّ صَلُّوا فِى رِحَالِكُمْ".
