The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave judgment about the slave who had made an agreement to purchase his freedom (mukatab) and he had been killed that blood-wit is paid for him at the rate paid for a free man so far as he has paid the purchase money, and at the rate paid for a slave as the remainder is concerned.

قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي دِيَةِ الْمُكَاتَبِ يُقْتَلُ يُودَى مَا أَدَّى مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ الْمَمْلُوكِ

"The Messenger of Allah ruled that the Diyah for a Mukatab who is killed should be (equivalent) to the Diyah for a free mand, proportionate to the amount be had paid off (toward buying his freedom)."

قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يُقْتَلُ بِدِيَةِ الْحُرِّ عَلَى قَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى

"The Messenger of Allah ruled that in the case of a Mukatab, the Diyah should be (equivalent) to the Diyah for a free man, proportionate to the amount he had paid off (towards buying his freedom)." (Dar'if)

قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يُودَى بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about mukatab, "He shall be emancipated based on the amount that he pays of the diyah (blood money) for the free person and based on the amount that is reduced from his diyah as a slave."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يَعْتِقُ مِنْهُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The freed slave will be judged according to how much he has paid for his freedom, and the slave will be judged according to how much his value has decreased."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُودَى الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The Mukatab (a slave who is granted the right to buy his freedom) should pay the value of what he has been freed for according to the price of a free person, and what remains due to be paid should be calculated according to the value of a slave.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُكَاتَبُ يُودَى مَا أَعْتَقَ مِنْهُ بِحِسَابِ الْحُرِّ وَمَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ بِحِسَابِ الْعَبْدِ

قَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتِبِ يُقْتَلُ يُودَى لِمَا أَدَّى مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

[AI] From the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said: "The free man should pay his own blood money, and what remains is the blood money of the slave."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُودَى الْمُكَاتَبُ بِحِصَّةِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ عَبْدٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Mukatabs should be treated according to the amount they have freed themselves with, based on the calculation of a free person, and what they have left to be freed ought to be calculated as that of a slave."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يُؤَدِّي الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا عُتِقَ مِنْهُ بِحِسَابِ الْحُرِّ وَمَا رَقَّ فَبِحِسَابِ الْعَبْدِ»

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "The blood money for a slave is according to what has been freed of him, and the blood money for a free person is according to what has been killed of him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «دِيَةُ الْمُكَاتَبِ بِقَدْرِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ دِيَةُ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةُ الْعَبْدِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The compensation for the injury caused by a slave is equivalent to the compensation granted to a free person, and the compensation for the injury caused by a slave who has been freed is equivalent to the compensation granted to a slave."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «دِيَةُ الْمُكَاتَبِ قَدْرَ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ دِيَةُ الْحُرِّ وَمَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةُ الْمَمْلُوكِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who is enslaved will be given freedom according to the ransom paid for the free person, and the one who is enslaved will be given freedom according to the ransom paid for the slave."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يُؤَدِّي الْمُكَاتَبُ بِقَدْرِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ»

«قَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يُودَى بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى مِنَ الْمُكَاتَبَةَ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ»

"دِيَةُ المكاتبِ بِقدْر ما عَتقَ منْه دِيهُ الحرِّ، وبقدر ما رَق منه ديةُ العبدِ".

"قَضَى فِي دِيَةِ الْمُكَاتَبِ يُقْتَلُ: يُؤَدَّى مَا أَدَّى مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِه دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ، وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ الْمَمْلُوكِ".

"يُودَى المُكَاتَبُ بِحِصَّةٍ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ حُرٍّ وَمَا بَقِى دِيَة عَبْدٍ".
