“Dreams are attached to the foot of a bird* until they are interpreted, then when they are interpreted they come to pass.” He said: “And dreams are one of the forty-six parts of prophecy.” He (the narrator) said: “And I think he said: ‘(A person) should not tell them except to one whom he loves or one who is wise.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3914)  

أحمد:١٦١٨٢حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ عُدُسٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ قَالَ

The Prophet ﷺ said: The vision flutters over a man as long as it is not interpreted , but when it is interpreted, it settles. And I think he said: Tell it only to one who loves (i.e. friend) or one who has judgment.

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The (good) dreams of a faithful believer is a part of the forty-six parts of prophetism:' (Using translation from Bukhārī 6987)
