That Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to offer the ʿAsr prayer while the sun was still shining in her Hujra (i.e. her dwelling place).

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ لَمْ تَخْرُجْ مِنْ حُجْرَتِهَا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the afternoon prayer (at a time) when the (light) of the sun was there in my apartment.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ وَاقِعَةٌ فِي حُجْرَتِي

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lead us in 'Asr prayer when the sun was still bright and high."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِنَا الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ بَيْضَاءُ مُحَلِّقَةٌ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered the noon prayer on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah (Yawm at-Tarwiyah) and dawn prayer on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah (Yawm al-Arafah) in Mina. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1911)

[AI] On the authority of Abu Al-Abiad, a man from the tribe of Banu 'Amir, who reported that Anas ibn Malik said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the afternoon prayer while the sun was still bright and high in the sky.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَإِنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَطَالِعَةٌ فِي حُجْرَتِي

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the Asr prayer before the sun sets from my room window.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ حُجْرَتِي طَالِعَةً

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the afternoon prayer (at a time) when the (light) of the sun was there in my apartment. (Using translation from Muslim 611d)

Urwa said that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ used to pray asr while the sunlight was pouring into her room, before the sun itself had become visible (i.e. because it was still high in the sky).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَظْهَرَ

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed 'Asr when the sun was in her room and the shadow had not appeared on her wall. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 505)

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا لَمْ يَظْهَرِ الْفَيْءُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “No prayer should be offered after ʿAsr unless the sun is bright and still high.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 610)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يُصَلَّى *الْعَصْرِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ الشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ»

It was narrated from Maimunah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray on a mat. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 738)

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray Dhuhr and Asr prayers in Mina on the Day of Tarwiyah.
