[Machine] "If I die, do not hit me with a whip or follow me with fire, rather hasten me to my Lord, for I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'When a righteous man or servant is placed on his deathbed, he says: Bring me forward, bring me forward.' But when a wicked person is placed upon his deathbed, he says: 'Woe to you! Where are you taking me?'"  

أحمد:١٠١٣٧ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ الْمَعْنَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

إِذَا مُتُّ فَلَا تَضْرِبُوا عَلَيَّ فُسْطَاطًا وَلَا تَتْبَعُونِي بِنَارٍ وَأَسْرِعُوا بِي إِلَى رَبِّي فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا وُضِعَ الْعَبْدُ أَوِ الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ عَلَى سَرِيرِهِ قَالَ قَدِّمُونِي قَدِّمُونِي وَإِذَا وُضِعَ الرَّجُلُ السَّوْءُ قَالَ وَيْلَكُمْ أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ بِي؟!

[Machine] When death approaches me, do not strike me forcefully, nor follow me with a burning torch. Hurry me quickly, for I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "When a righteous man is placed on his deathbed, he says: 'Advance me, advance me!' And when a wicked man is placed on his deathbed, he says: 'Oh woe to me, where are you taking me?'"  

أحمد:٧٩١٤ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'When the righteous man is placed on his bier, he says: Take me quickly, take me quickly. And when the bad man is placed on his bier he said: Woe to me! Where are you taking me?"' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1908)   

السيوطي:٢٧٥٣a –

"إِذَا وُضِع الرَّجلُ الصَّالحُ على سريره قال: قدِّمونِى قدِّمونِى، وإذا وُضِعَ الرجُلُ السُّوءُ على سريره قال: يا وَيلِى، أينَ تذهبونَ بى؟ ".
