ahmad-zuhd:1022ʿAbdullāh from my father > ʿAbd al-Quddūs b. Bakr > Muḥammad b. al-Naḍr al-Ḥārithī Yarfaʿuh > Muʿādh b. Jabal ؒ

[Machine] Three things, if done, one is exposed to the risk of excessive laughter without surprise, sleep without staying awake, and eating without hunger.  

الزهد لأحمد:١٠٢٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ النَّضْرِ الْحَارِثِيِّ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ قَالَ

ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ فَعَلَهُنَّ فَقَدْ تَعَرَّضَ لِلْمَقْتِ الضَّحِكُ مِنْ غَيْرِ عَجَبٍ وَالنَّوْمُ مِنْ غَيْرِ سَهَرٍ وَالْأَكْلُ مِنْ غَيْرِ جُوعٍ
