The Muslim who offends most against the Muslims is he who enquires about something which has not been forbidden to men, and it is declared forbidden because of his enquiry.

The greatest sinner amongst the Muslims is one who asked about a thing (from Allah's Apostle) which had not been forbidden for the Muslims and it was forbidden for them because of his persistently asking about it.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, one of the greatest wrongdoings among the Muslims is when a person asks about something, and then people become annoyed because of his asking, to the extent that a prohibition regarding that thing is revealed due to his questioning."
