The Prophet ﷺ said: If any one of you greets me, Allah returns my soul to me and I respond to the greeting.  

أبو داود:٢٠٤١ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُقْرِئُ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ عَنْ أَبِي صَخْرٍ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَىَّ إِلاَّ رَدَّ اللَّهُ عَلَىَّ رُوحِي حَتَّى أَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمَ
