If a believer were to know the punishment (in Hell) none would have the audacity to aspire for Paradise (but he would earnestly desire to be rescued from Hell), and if a non-believer were to know what is there with Allah as a mercy. none would have been disappointed in regard to Paradise.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْعُقُوبَةِ مَا طَمِعَ بِجَنَّتِهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْكَافِرُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ مَا قَنِطَ مِنْ جَنَّتِهِ أَحَدٌ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If the believer knew what punishment Allah has in store for him, he would not desire Paradise, and if the disbeliever knew what mercy Allah has in store for him, he would not despair of Paradise. Allah has created one hundred units of mercy, and He placed one unit among His creation, and it is by this unit that they show compassion amongst themselves. And it is with Allah that the remaining ninety-nine units of mercy exist."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنَ الْعُقُوبَةِ مَا طَمِعَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدٌ وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْكَافِرُ مَا عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ مَا قَنَطَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدٌ خَلَقَ اللهُ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ فَوَضَعَ رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ خَلْقِهِ يَتَرَاحَمُونَ بِهَا وَعِنْدَ اللهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ رَحْمَةً

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If the believer knew what punishment Allah has in store, they would not desire Paradise. And if the disbeliever knew what mercy Allah has, they would not despair of entering Paradise. Allah has created one hundred portions of mercy, and He has placed one portion among His creation that they show mercy to one another. And with Allah are ninety-nine portions of mercy."

“If the believer knew what is with Allah of punishment, none would hope for Paradise, and if the disbeliever knew what is with Allah of mercy, none would despair of (attaining) Paradise.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3542)

"لَو يَعْلَمُ المُؤْمِنُ مَا عندَ الله مِنَ العُقُوبَةِ مَا طَمِعَ فِي الجَنَّة أَحَدٌ، ولَوْ يُعْلَمُ الكافِرُ مَا عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَة، مَا قَنط مَن الجَنَّة أحَدٌ".
