tirmidhi:2848ʿAlī b. Ḥujr > Sharīk > al-Miqdām b. Shurayḥ from his father > ʿĀʾishah

from his father, that 'Aishah was asked: "Did the Prophet ﷺ used to say any poetry?" She said: "He would say parables with the poetry of Ibn Rawahah, saying: 'News shall come to you from where you did not expect it.'"  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٢٨٤٨حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَ

قِيلَ لَهَا هَلْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَتَمَثَّلُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَتَمَثَّلُ بِشِعْرِ ابْنِ رَوَاحَةَ وَيَتَمَثَّلُ وَيَقُولُ وَيَأْتِيكَ بِالأَخْبَارِ مَنْ لَمْ تُزَوِّدِ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

[Machine] I asked Aisha, "Did the Prophet ﷺ ever pretend to have any hair extensions?" She said, "Indeed, he used to have hair extensions made from the hair of Abdullah ibn Rawaha and recite (the verses of poetry) of Al-Bahr Al-Taweel to you, and he would bring you news from those whom you have not been informed."
