"A man among those before you went out arrogantly in a Hullah of his. So Allah ordered the earth to take him. He remains sinking[into it]" - or he said - "He will remain sinking into it until the Day of Judgement."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فِي حُلَّةٍ لَهُ يَخْتَالُ فِيهَا فَأَمَرَ اللَّهُ الأَرْضَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا أَوْ قَالَ يَتَلَجْلَجُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Among the people before you, there was a man who went out wearing two green garments, and he was showing off in them. So Allah commanded the earth and it swallowed him, and he will continue sinking into it until the Day of Resurrection.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَا رَجُلٌ فِيمَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ خَرَجَ فِي بُرْدَيْنِ أَخْضَرَيْنِ يَخْتَالُ فِيهِمَا أَمَرَ اللهُ الْأَرْضَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ وَإِنَّهُ لَيَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "While a man was proudly admiring his appearance, Allah commanded the earth and it swallowed him up, so he will continue to roll and tumble in it until the Day of Resurrection."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي حُلَّةٍ إِذْ أَمَرَ اللهُ ﷻ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا أَوْ يَتَجَرْجَرُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
"إِنَّ رَجُلًا فِى الْجَاهليةِ جَعَلَ يَتَبَخْتَرُ وعَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ قَدْ لَبِسَهَا فَأَمَرَ اللَّهُ الأرْضَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامةِ".
"خَرَجَ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبلَكُمْ في حُلَّةٍ له يَخْتَالُ فِيهَا، فأَمَر اللَّه الأَرْضَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ؛ فهو يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلى يَوْم القيامَةِ".
"عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: بَينَما رَجُلٌ شَابٌّ مِمَّن كَان قَبلَكُمْ يَمْشِي فِي حُلَّةٍ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا إِذَ ابْتَلَعَتْهُ الأَرْضُ، فَهُوَ يَتَجلْجلُ فِيهَا إِلى يَومِ القِيَامَة".
