[Machine] Ibn Masood said: "All of this was not ordered by Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, for us to wait for you in our prayers while you are in need."  

الطبراني:٩٥٠٠ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ أَخَّرَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ الصَّلَاةَ فَأَمَرَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَثَوَّبَ بِالصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ الْوَلِيدُ مَا صَنَعْتَ؟ أَجَاءَكَ مِنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَدَثٌ أَمِ ابْتَدَعْتَ؟ فَقَالَ

ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ «كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرِ اللهُ عَلَيْنَا وَرَسُولُهُ ﷺ أَنْ نَنْتَظِرَكَ بِصَلَاتِنَا وَأَنْتَ فِي حَاجَتِكَ»
