[Machine] O Suhayb, you have acquired wealth and have no children, and you have integrated into the Arab society while you are a man from the Romans. He (Suhayb) said, "O Amir al-Mu'minin, as for your saying that I have acquired wealth and have no children, indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ likened me to his father Yaḥya. And as for your saying that I have integrated into the Arab society while I am a man from the Romans, indeed I am a man from the Namar bin Qasit tribe, who was captured from Mosul after I was a child and had known my family and lineage."

[Machine] He said to Suhayb, "Indeed, you are a man who would have three qualities if not for them." Suhayb asked, "And what are they?" He said, "You are childless, yet you have adopted and belong to the Arabs, even though you are a man from the Romans. And there is extravagance in your food." Suhayb replied, "O Amir al-Mu'minin, as for your statement that I am childless, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me the name Abu Yahya. And as for your statement that I belong to the Arabs, even though I am a man from the Romans, I am a man from the Banu Namir bin Qasit. I have acquired my status in Mosul after being a young boy, and I know my family and lineage. And as for your statement about extravagance in my food, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'The best among you are those who feed others.'"
