I came to the Prophet ﷺ, and his companions we as if they birds were perched on their heads (i.e. they were still and attentive).  

الطبراني:٤٨٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ قَالَ

«أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَإِذَا أَصْحَابُهُ كَأَنَّ عَلَى رُءُوسِهِمُ الطَّيْرَ»

أحمد:١٨٤٥٣ – حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَإِذَا أَصْحَابُهُ كَأَنَّمَا عَلَى رُءُوسِهِمْ الطَّيْرُ  

nasai-kubra:5850 – Ismāʿīl b. Masʿūd > Khālid > Shuʿbah > Ziyād b. ʿIlāqah > Usāmah b. Sharīk

I heard Usama bin Sharik saying: I came to the Prophet ﷺ, and his companions we as if they birds were perched on their heads (i.e. they were still and attentive).  

الكبرى للنسائي:٥٨٥٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَنَّ زِيَادَ بْنَ عِلَاقَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ شَرِيكٍ يَقُولُ «أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِذَا أَصْحَابُهُ عِنْدَهُ كَأَنَّ عَلَى رُءُوسِهِمُ الطَّيْرُ»
