tabarani:302ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > al-Zubayr b. Bakkār

[Machine] Saad died in his palace in the outskirts of the city, about ten miles away. He was carried on the backs of men to the city. It is said that he passed away at the age of seventy-two.  

الطبراني:٣٠٢حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ

مَاتَ سَعْدٌ بِالْعَقِيقِ فِي قَصْرِهِ عَلَى عَشْرَةِ أَمْيَالٍ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَحُمِلَ عَلَى رِقَابِ الرِّجَالِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَيُقَالُ تُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ بِضْعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ

أَبِي «وَتُوُفِّيَ سَعْدٌ عَلَى عَشَرَةِ أَمْيَالٍ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَحُمِلَ عَلَى رِقَابِ الرِّجَالِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ مَرْوَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَالِيًا عَلَيْهَا»
