[Machine] About his mother Umm Kulthum, the daughter of Umm Salamah, Umm Salamah reported: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me, he said, "O Umm Salamah, I have presented musk and a garment to Negus, but I do not see him alive, and I do not see my gift except returned to me." Umm Salamah said: As the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, he gave his women folk ornaments and gave me the rest of the musk and the garment.  

الطبراني:٢٠٢٢٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَّافُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى صَاحِبُ الْبَصْرِيِّ قَالُوا ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الزَّنْجِيُّ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ

عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتُ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ لَمَّا دَخَلَ بِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ إِنِّي قَدْ أَهْدَيْتُ لِلنَّجَاشِيِّ مِسْكًا وَحُلَّةً وَلَا أَرَاهُ إِلَّا قَدْ مَاتَ وَلَا أَرَى هَدِيَّتِي إِلَّا سَتُرَدُّ إِلَيَّ» قَالَتْ وَكَانَ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَعْطَاهُ نِسَاءَهُ أُوقِيَّةً وَأَعْطَانِي سَائِرَ الْمِسْكِ وَالْحُلَّةَ

[Machine] And about his mother, Umm Kulthum bint Abi Salama, she said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Umm Salamah, he said to her, "I have presented a gift to Najashi of a robe and jewelry made of musk, and I do not see Najashi except that he has passed away, and I do not see anything returned to me except my gift. So if it is returned to me, it is yours." They said: And it was as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and his gift was returned to him. So he gave every woman of his wives a jewelry made of musk, and he gave Umm Salamah the remaining musk and robe.  

أحمد:٢٧٢٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ [قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ] قَالَ أَبِي وحَدَّثَنَاهُ حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ فَذَكَرَهُ

وَقَالَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ لَهَا إِنِّي قَدْ أَهْدَيْتُ إِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ حُلَّةً وَأَوَاقِيَّ مِنْ مِسْكٍ وَلَا أَرَى النَّجَاشِيَّ إِلَّا قَدْ مَاتَ وَلَا أَرَى إِلَّا هَدِيَّتِي مَرْدُودَةً عَلَيَّ فَإِنْ رُدَّتْ عَلَيَّ فَهِيَ لَكِ قَالَوَكَانَ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَرُدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ هَدِيَّتُهُ فَأَعْطَى كُلَّ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ أُوقِيَّةَ مِسْكٍ وَأَعْطَى أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ بَقِيَّةَ الْمِسْكِ وَالْحُلَّةَ

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Umm Salamah, he said to her, "I have presented to the Negus gifts of musk and jewelry, but I do not see him except that he has already passed away, and I do not see the gifts that were given to him except that they will be returned. So if they are returned to me, will they be yours or mine?" It happened just as he said. The Negus died, and when the gifts were returned to him, he gave each of his wives a piece of musk and gave the rest to Umm Salamah, along with the jewelry.  

الحاكم:٢٧٦٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الزَّنْجِيُّ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ أَمْ كُلْثُومِ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ لَهَا «إِنِّي أَهْدَيْتُ إِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ أَوَاقِيَا مِنْ مِسْكٍ وَحُلَّةً وَإِنِّي لَا أُرَاهُ إِلَّا قَدْ مَاتَ وَلَا أَرَى الْهَدِيَّةَ الَّتِي أُهْدِيَتْ إِلَيْهِ إِلَّا سَتُرَدُّ فَإِذَا رُدَّتْ إِلَيَّ فَهُوَ لَكِ أَمْ لَكُمْ؟» فَكَانَ كَمَا قَالَ هَلَكَ النَّجَاشِيُّ فَلَمَّا رُدَّتْ إِلَيْهِ الْهَدِيَّةُ أَعْطَى كُلَّ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ أُوقِيَّةً مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْمِسْكِ وَأَعْطَى سَائِرَهُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ وَأَعْطَاهَا الْحُلَّةَ
