أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مِكْرَزٍ، عَنْ وَابِصَةَ

[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I do not want to leave any good or sinful thing without asking him about it. So I approached him while he was surrounded by a group of Muslims. I tried to bypass them to get closer to him but some of them scolded me. He said to them, "Leave the questioner, let them come closer to me." So he moved closer to me until I was in front of him and he said, "Are you asking me or do you want me to inform you?" I said, "No, you inform me." He said, "You came to ask about good and sinful deeds." I said, "Yes." He gathered his fingers and began poking me in the chest with them, saying, "Good is that which brings tranquility to the soul and peace to the heart, while sin is that which unsettles the soul and causes hesitation in the chest. Even if people give you their opinions, judge according to what I have told you."

[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I wanted to not leave anything of good or sin without asking him about it. There was a group of Muslims consulting him, so I tried to pass by them. They said, "O Wabisa, come and ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." I said, "Leave me, for I prefer to be close to him than anyone else." They said, "Let Wabisa come closer, O Wabisa, come closer two or three times." So I approached him until I sat in front of him. He said, "O Wabisa, shall I inform you or do you want to ask me?" I said, "No, inform me." He said, "You came to ask me about good and sin." I said, "Yes." He clenched his fingers and tapped on my chest saying, "O Wabisa, consult your heart and consult your soul three times. Good is what the soul finds peace in and sin is what causes doubt in the heart, even if people give you fatwas and they give you fatwas."

[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the intention of not leaving anything regarding righteousness and sin without asking him about it. Whenever there was a congregation around him, I would pass by them and they would say, "Go to him, O Wabisah, and ask him." So, I would say, "I am Wabisah, let me get closer to him, for it is more beloved to me to get closer to him." Then he ﷺ said to me, "Come closer, O Wabisah, come closer, O Wabisah." So, I got closer to him until my knees touched his knees. Then he said, "O Wabisah, shall I inform you of what you came to ask me about or shall you ask me?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me." He said, "You came to ask me about righteousness and sin?" I said, "Yes." So, he clasped his three fingers together and tapped them on my chest, and said, "O Wabisah, consult your heart regarding righteousness, for it is that which the heart finds contentment with, and consult your soul regarding sin, for it is that which causes doubts in the chest. And if the people give you their opinion and you give them yours..."
