[Machine] "I am going to tell you a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever takes charge of a group of people and does not advise them, he will not find the fragrance of Paradise. Its fragrance can be found from a distance of a hundred years of travel.' Ibn Ziyad said, 'Did you not inform me of this before?' He said, 'Now, if not for the matter that I am upon, I would not have informed you of it.'"  

الطبراني:١٧٦٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ قَالَا ثنا هَوْذَةُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ثنا عَوْفٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ مَرِضَ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ مَرَضًا ثَقُلَ فِيهِ فَأَتَاهُ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ

إِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ اسْتُرْعِيَ رَعِيَّةً فَلَمْ يُحِطْهُمْ بِنَصِيحَةٍ لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ فَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرََةِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ» فَقَالَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ أَلَا كُنْتَ حَدَّثَتْنِي بِهَذَا قَبْلَ الْآنِ قَالَ «فَالْآنَ لَوْلَا الَّذِي أَنَا عَلَيْهِ لَمْ أُحَدِّثْكَ بِهِ»

I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Any man whom Allah has given the authority of ruling some people and he does not look after them in an honest manner, will never feel even the smell of Paradise."  

البخاري:٧١٥٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَشْهَبِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ

أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زِيَادٍ عَادَ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَعْقِلٌ: إِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ اسْتَرْعَاهُ اللَّهُ رَعِيَّةً فَلَمْ يَحُطْهَا بِنَصِيحَةٍ إِلاَّ لَمْ يَجِدْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ۔»

Ibn Ziyad said, 'Didn't you inform me of this before?' He replied, 'If it wasn't for the situation you are currently in, I wouldn't have informed you about it.'"
