[Machine] "I am telling you a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, 'Whoever is entrusted with the care of people and does not advise them, he will not find the scent of Paradise, and its scent can be found from a distance of one hundred years.' Ibn Ziyad said, 'Didn't you inform me of this before?' He replied, 'If it wasn't for the situation you are currently in, I wouldn't have informed you about it.'"  

أحمد:٢٠٣١٥ – حَدَّثَنَا هَوْذَةُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ مَرِضَ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ مَرَضًا ثَقُلَ فِيهِ فَأَتَاهُ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ

إِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنِ اسْتُرْعِيَ رَعِيَّةً فَلَمْ يُحِطْهُمْ بِنَصِيحَةٍ لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ وَرِيحُهَا يُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ قَالَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ أَلَا كُنْتَ حَدَّثْتَنِي بِهَذَا قَبْلَ الْآنَ؟ قَالَ وَالْآنَ لَوْلَا الَّذِي أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ لَمْ أُحَدِّثْكَ بِهِ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever takes charge of a group of people and does not advise them, he will not find the fragrance of Paradise. Its fragrance can be found from a distance of a hundred years of travel.' Ibn Ziyad said, 'Did you not inform me of this before?' He said, 'Now, if not for the matter that I am upon, I would not have informed you of it.'"  

الطبراني:١٧٦٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ قَالَا ثنا هَوْذَةُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ثنا عَوْفٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ مَرِضَ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ مَرَضًا ثَقُلَ فِيهِ فَأَتَاهُ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ
