[Machine] "I married Fatimah and I asked the Messenger of Allah: 'Should I have children?' He said, 'Do you have something to give her?' I said, 'No.' He said, 'Where is your Hutmeyah shield?' I said, 'I have it.' He said, 'Then give it to her.'"  

الطبراني:١٧٥ – حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ

تَزَوَّجْتُ فَاطِمَةَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنِنِي؟ قَالَ «عِنْدَكَ شَيْءٌ تُعْطِيهَا؟» فَقُلْتُ لَا قَالَ «أَيْنَ دِرْعُكَ الْحُطَمِيَّةُ؟» قُلْتُ عِنْدِي قَالَ «اعْطِهَا إِيَّاهَا»
