[Machine] "Indeed, I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a bearer of glad tidings came to him with news of the victory that Allah had given to his army and the opening that Allah had granted them. He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, while we were pursuing the enemy who had already been defeated by Allah the Most High, I came across a man with a sword. When he realized that his sword was useless and he was being pursued, he started saying, "I am a Muslim, I am a Muslim." So the man asked, 'Did you kill him?' He replied, 'O Messenger of Allah, I sought refuge.' The Prophet asked, 'Could you not have dissected his heart to know if he was telling the truth or lying?' The man said, 'Had I dissected his heart, I wouldn't have known whether his heart was just a piece of flesh or not.' The Prophet said, 'You believed him without knowing what was in his heart or what he spoke. You have done right.' The man then said, 'O Messenger of Allah, seek forgiveness for me.' The Prophet replied, 'I will not seek forgiveness for you.' The man died and they buried him, but he appeared on the surface of the earth. This happened three times, and when they saw this, they felt ashamed and afraid of what they had encountered. So they picked him up and threw him into one of those valleys among those valleys."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent an expedition. A man carried another man from among the polytheists. When he killed him with a spear, he said, "I am a Muslim." Then he went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I have sinned, so seek forgiveness for me." He said, "What is that?" He said, "I carried a man from among the polytheists, and when I attacked him with a spear, he said, 'I am a Muslim.' I thought he was seeking protection, so I killed him." He said, "Could you not have pierced his heart until it became clear to you?" He said, "Would you clarify it for me, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "He spoke to you with his tongue, but you did not believe what he said in his heart." The man died, so we buried him, and in the morning he was on the earth. We commanded our boys to guard him, and in the morning he was on the earth. We said, "They were negligent, so we guarded him," but in the morning he was still on the ground. We went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him, and he said, "Indeed, it is accepted from the one who is worse than him, but Allah wanted to teach you the sanctity of blood." Then he said, "Take him to the foot of this mountain and stone him." So we did.
